art has been part of my life for as long as i can remember.

these few images were the very spark that ignited the fire in me.

the beginning

hand turkey, 2006

dusty, broken, but loved. my first memories making art was in preschool, where every few weeks we had the opportunity to paint porcelain and tiles. this is one of the few pieces i still have. i was two years old here.

the first collaboration, 2006

Though this may seem like the same work as the previous, you can actually see that this one uses my other hand. both of my hand turkeys should go together, however i have always seen it paired with my older brother, Grady, who was 3 years old at the time of this piece's

creation. The simplistic turkeys face each other. It is the first of many collaborations between my brother and I. I wonder what they are discussing?
