for years and years I collected my art in marbled notebooks and printer paper stored in bins and boxes...

but as years have passed they have become lost to time, buried within the ever-growing collection of decorations, old memories, and dust of the attic.

thus what remains is my personal video archive documenting my art, at a time when i had one main source of inspiration...

the early years

My Sonic Picture Collection, 2013

This video was filmed on a Nintendo 3DS by my step-brother and narrated by me back in 2013. At the time of recording, Sonic was one of my favorite franchises and had unique characters I found myself drawn to. Although these works are simply replications of the video game, i now acknowledge the importance of these drawings, as they helped me hone the skill of proportionality based on a photograph.

Growing up in the digital age, I was also immensely inspired by other content creators and wished to be a "YouTuber," hence why I created this video (and many more) in the first place. Creativity was imperative in my upbringing, yes, but so was this idea of entertainment and evoking feeling within others.

My Sonic Drawings 2, 2013

This is another video filmed about a month after the first. here, however, there is no remaining audio as our video got copyright-stricken for playing "One More Time" by Daft Punk. I'm sure you can use your imagination to fill in the gaps :)

The following collection of images were created in 2015, a majority of which were inspired by an art YouTuber by the name of Mei Yu, with the pseudonym "Fun 2 Draw." The distinct style and easy shapes inspired me to continue drawing, specifically focusing on human subjects. The photo quality is degraded, as I pulled them directly from my Google Photos, where they were most likely taken on an old tablet.
